StumbleUpon seems to be suppressing this site. They were my top traffic source for five years, but in August 2011 visits began to dwindle. This month their referrals are down 60 percent over last year, and the numbers are still falling.

This is hard to understand, as nothing on my end has changed. This site is not commercial or offensive, it’s consistently well regarded by StumbleUpon users, and I don’t submit my own pages or otherwise violate their terms of service.

I’ve sent two inquiries about this, but they won’t talk to me. In each case they ask for data and then close the thread without responding.

My analytics show that you’re submitting my pages to StumbleUpon as much as ever. I appreciate your efforts to promote the site, but increasingly it appears that they’re being blocked.

If you can shed any light on this, I’d be grateful to hear from you. I’m at a loss to understand it.
